She was predeceased by: her parents, James William Day Sr. and Opal Viola Swayze Day; her son William Joe Newton Jr.; and her siblings, James Day (Pat), Harriett Harris, Evelyn Bell Hodges and Hazel Newton.
She is survived by: her husband William Joe Newton Sr.; and her daughters, Dorothy Ipock (David), Kathleen Badley (Brian), Margaret Burger (Randy) of Bend and Patricia Kitchen (Robert) of Gladstone.
She was at St. Charles Hospital in Bend after suffering a stroke and had Alzheimer's for several years.
