He was predeceased by: his father Lester Rudolph Oakes. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Holly, Heather and Brian; his son-in-law Matthew Harada; his grandchildren, Rowan Oakes-Harada of Beaverton and Grace Oakes-Harada of Beaverton; his mother Dorrice Oakes of Watsonville, CA; his sister Kim Kannely; his brother-in-law Rick Kannely of Royal City, WA; his brother Jon Oakes; and his sister-in-law Paula Oakes of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
