He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Painter and Birdie Painter; and his sisters, Lorene Hopper and Wanda Rollins. He is survived by: his spouse Genevee Nicholson; and his sister Thelma Painter Fix. He is also survived by four nieces, one nephew, and their children; daughters and their spouses, Carolann Carson, Lori Miillé, and Toddine Newberry; and seven grandchildren.
