He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Nielsen and Julia Nielsen; and his siblings, Ruth Nielsen of Sand, Jenny Tollefsen of Aloha, OR and Arvid Nielsen of Stavanger, Norway..
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Nielsen of Beaverton, OR; his children, Katrina Nielsen of Portland, Kristine Aguilar of Aloha, Rebecca Nielsen of Seattle, WA, Laura Nielsen of St. Petersburg, FL and John N Nielsen of Portland; his sister Malfrid Yontz of Beaverton; his stepchildren, Vicki Haeger (Tom) of Vancouver, WA, Ron Dent (Rhonda) of Gatesville, TX, Tom Dent of Portland and George William Dent (Laurie) of Idaho Falls, ID.; and his sister-in-law Mary Nielsen. He is also survived by his 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and 14 step-grandchildren.
