Theodore Hayes Obituary

BEAVERCREEK — Theodore Randall "Ted" Hayes, beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 59, of Beavercreek, Ohio made his journey to heaven on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was a graduate of Crescent H.S. in 1974 and received his BS at Texas Tech Univ. in 1978 and his MA from Central Michigan Univ. in 1981. Ted was an officer in the U.S.

Air Force prior to working for several defense contractors as a research analyst. He worked on a wide variety of projects. Much of his work was focused on improving the protective gear our men and women in uniform wear when they enter combat. He was an active member of Patterson Park Church. Gifted musician, singing in the choir and men's quartet.

He was a true servant, often found taking care of many behind-the-scenes operations. Ted enjoyed electronics (HAM radios, scanners, computers, and much more)! He was an avid photographer, loving to capture and share the beauty of God's creation with his work. Preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Hayes; mother-in-law, Bertha Morgan; brother-in-law, Kevin Moushon; nephew, Keith Hayes.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Theda (Morgan) Hayes; father, Theodore Thomas Hayes; father-in-law, Ted Morgan; son, Raymond Hayes (Tami); daughter, Ruth Hayes; siblings, Brenda Hayes, Connie Jones (Budd), Thomas Hayes (Claire), Timothy Hayes (Clarissa), and, Ann Moushon; granddaughter, Miriam; and a large extended family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00am at Patterson Park Church, 3655 E Patterson Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45430. Visitation will be held starting at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Patterson Park Church Deacons' Fund or to the Greene Medical Foundation, 1141 N. Monroe Dr, Xenia, OH 45385.
