He is survived by: his wife Joan Nixon; his children, Kevin Nixon (Trish), Alice Coleman (David) and Jackie Veelle (Rodney); his daughter-in-law Valerie Nixon; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Dallen; and his siblings, Jennie Schafer, Pat Pettie and Dave Nixon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
