Jim Sayers wrote a sympathy message

“My sincere condolences to Wayne’s family. Knowing that he is home with his Heavenly Father is comforting, though the feeling of loss is so difficult. Wayne was a great friend, supervisor, coach and mentor to me when I was coaching at the middle school. He was always supportive and made me feel comfortable and valued. Those coaching days were some of the best of my life and Wayne was a big part of that. Praying for peace and comfort for his family.”
