He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Susan Weaver; his children, Debby Sue, Deb Sue Hamby (Glenn), Philip Rick (Ellen) and J. D. "Joe"; his stepchildren, Jeannie McGill (John) and Jeff Heaton; his sister-in-law Eva Stevenson; and his friend Jim Hanley. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
