Norman Proffitt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Proffitt of Baker City, Oregon, born in Loudon, Tennessee, who passed away on July 3, 2020 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norman Proffitt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Proffitt (Messer); his son Thomas Mespelt; his parent Bessie Proffitt (Brown); his siblings, Elsie Mclintock, Dorothy Cassidy and Gene Proffitt; and his parents-in-law, Oather Messer, Mable Rose and Faye Messer.

He is survived by: his sons, Charlie Mespelt (Kim) of Baker City, Larry Mespelt of Clarkston, David Mespelt (Julie) of Baker City, Bob Mespelt (Arletta) of Dunseith and Norman Proffitt Jr. (Jessie) of Rock Springs, Wyoming.; and his parents-in-law, Denny Messer (Bonnie) of Lebanon, Bonnie Arthur of Baker City and Cindy Hoskins of Baker City. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
