He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Beam and Lillian Beam (Siegler); and his grandparents, John, Katherine Siegler, Ralph and Rose Beam.
He is survived by: his wife Lorna Beam; his son Jerry Dowdy (Trina) of Baker City, Oregon; his siblings, Tom Beam (Suzann) of Powell Butte, John Beam of Baker City, Oregon and Susan Staab (Carlisle) of Chehalis, Washington; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Givens, Mason Dowdy and Trenton Dowdy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
