Jimmy Hall Sr. Obituary
The 8th child of Charles Andrew and Laura Lucille (Lawhorn) Hall, Jimmy Hall Sr., was born November 5, 1952, in Casper, Natrona, Wyoming. Passed away in Baker City, Oregon, September 09, 2022.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Tiny Leroy Hall (Chuck) of Ontario, Oregon; Jimmy Lee Hall JR of Baker City, Oregon; Nickie Michelle Hall of Puyallup, Washington; Kimberly Dawn Wilson of Winnemucca, Nevada and three stepchildren Melissa Lein, William Pifher and Wyatt Pifher all of Baker City, Oregon. Four sisters and one brother, Teresia Mae (Terrie) Hall) Smith of Oak, Iowa. Betty Lucille (Hall) Norris & Donna Kay (Hall) Ward, both of Baker City, Oregon. Lois Jean (Jennie) (Hall) DeRoest of Nampa, Idaho, and Robert Andrew Hall SR (Bobby) of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sister-in-law Jan Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado. A large number of nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Hall, three brothers, William Ray, John Charles, and Thomas Dudley Hall, one sister, Patsy Ann (Hall) Norman, & 3 brothers-in-law, Glenn Smith, Gene Norris, and Doug DeRoest.
Jimmy had several jobs but worked for Don DeRoest for a long time. He was known as the junk man; he would clean up properties for people and the cities in the surrounding area. Jimmy was into cars. If you needed one, he would find it for you. He was into car shows. That was a family thing; we all had cars & love showing them off. He loved helping people with whatever he could. He loved decorating his home for all of the holidays.
He went to school in Haines, Oregon, and Baker City, Oregon; he lived most of his life here in Baker City.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Fraternal Order of Eagles of Baker City, Oregon, and the Family and friends car club.
Funeral services for Jimmy will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Vault interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. A potluck gathering for family and friends will follow the committal services, where we can share our stories at the Eagles on H Street in Baker City, Oregon.
Memorial contributions in Jimmy's memory may be directed to Coles Tribute Center, 1950 Place Street, Baker City, OR 97814, to help defray the cost of services.
