He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary McCray and Ralph McCray; and his sister Kathleen Johnson. He is survived by: his children, James McCray (Danielle) and Corrina Brown (Tyler); his grandchildren, Tori Thatcher (Zach), Sidney, Chandler, Madelyn and Maxwell; his great grandchildren, Gracie and Reese Thatcher; his brother Milton McCray (Gina); and his nieces, Kara and Audrey McCray. He is also survived by children, and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
