He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Oliver Hawkins and Cora Elizabeth Thomsen; his wife Phyllis Hawkins; and his nephew Kevin Hawkins. He is survived by: his sons, Steven and David "Scott" Hawkins; and his siblings, Carl Hawkins and Esther Ray. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
