She was predeceased by: her close friend Bill Swanberg; and her sister-in-law Marie Lampi. She is survived by: her children, Steve Shepherd (Laura) and Sandra Bierscheid (Dan); her grandson Curtis Bierscheid (Amy); her great grandchild Miranda Wilson (Kyle); her brothers, Melvin Lampi and Clifford Lampi (Sylvia); and her friend Marcia Wills.

Donations may be made in Virginia's honor to the Clatsop County Animal Shelter.
