He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Frederick Jessen and Hulda Marie Simonson; and his siblings, John Jessen of Astoria, Ruth Huckey of Oregon City, Irene Jessen of Illinois and Alice Campbell of Colorado.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy; his wife Judy Cheney; his daughters, Deborah Luty of Astoria and Andrea Holmstedt of Astoria; his grandchildren, Jonathan Luty (Nicole) of Stehekin and Jessen Luty (Benjamin) of Portland; and his great grandchild Finley of Portland. He is also survived by father to his two daughters.
