He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. Cox and Alzie G Cox (Dorgan); his wife Roberta L. Colbert Ellis; and his son Matthew Emerson Cox. He is survived by: his siblings, Gertrude, Helen, John "Andy", Carroll "Toad", Raymond "Mike", Gilbert "Jiggs", Richard "Dick" and Robert "Bob"; his children, Wilson Cox (Diana), Kathy Jantz (Jim), Stephanie Page (Kevin), Rachel Bowcock (Art), Steven Cox (Kathy) and Cindy Gesner (Donald); his brother Barney; and his sisters-in-law, Katherine Cox and Helen Cox (Dick). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
