“I knew Shirlie from elementary school in Studio City. (L.A.). She was a sweet soul yet a fierce competitor in sports! We did battle on the playground rings , tried to beat each other at tether ball, and often raced each other. I wanted hair like hers...long and often braided! She was tall and slim compared to the other girls. I see she ended up owning a fitness studio. No surprise! Over a half century later I still have fond memories of her. My heartfelt condolences to all. Stephanie Gearhart”
