She was predeceased by: her parents, Royden Jantzi and Anna Jantzi (Gascho); her stepmother Emma Jantzi (Birkey); her siblings, Shirley, Roland, Robert, John, Leo and Bill; her child Beverly (Hooley); her granddaughter Angela; her great grandchildren, Noelani and Lydia; her former husband Lloyd Hooley; her children, Stutzman (Dick) and Cox (Steve); and her spouse Claude Schlabach.
She is survived by: her son Lyle Hooley (Gloria); her stepchildren, Larry Schlabach (Twila), Merlin Schlabach (Lucinda), Wilmes (Ray) and Stauffer (Doug); her sister Caroline Wolfer; her daughters, Evelyn (Hooley), Gloria (Schlabach) and Evonne (Schlabach); her grandchildren, Nicole, Heather, Jennie, Daniel, Faith, April, Peter, Timothy, Jeremy, Heidi and Ashleigh; and her great grandchildren, Paige, Ryan, Chase, Tristan, Travis, Zack, Dillan, Caitlyn, Olivia, Xavier, Spencer, Gabe, Peyton, Emily, Lyle, Eden, Marisol, Zane, Addison, Jesse, Dylan, Joah, August, Tegan and Liam.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Church (35100 Goltra Rd SE, Albany, OR 97322).
Ruth's contributions to her community extended beyond her family.
