He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Peter and Clara Isabelle Thompson; his wife Marian Hilton; and his siblings, Irene Barshaw, Marietta Shelley and Charles Elbert Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Ann (Anthony Amort), Martin Jr. (Mary Thompson) and Susan (Dean Campbell); his grandsons, Austin and Aaron Amort; his brother Alan; and his sister-in-law Kathy Thompson.
Memorial donations in Martin's name may be sent to the Thompson's Mills Preservation Society in care of McHenry Funeral Home.
