He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Shelton and Dorothy Shelton (Thomas); and his sister Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Moore; his daughter Elizabeth Perkins (Milton); his brother Tom Shelton; his grandsons, Christopher and Anthony; and his sister Irish. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Over the years his health declined with heart attacks, Parkinson's, and these last few strokes.
