He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Hanawalt and Ina Hanawalt (Kirk). He is survived by: his wife Marcella (Rorer); his son Kirk Hanawalt (Erin); his siblings, Ray Hanawalt of Dayton, MD and Rebecca Barkanic of Columbia, MD; and his grandchildren, Mara and Glenn Hanawalt.
