He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Atkinson and Iris Mills Atkinson; his wife Fay Atkinson; and his siblings, Joyce Pierpoint and Walt Atkinson.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Tyson (Glenn), Karen Burch (Michael), Tom Atkinson (Debra) and Tim Atkinson (Tanja); his grandchildren, Michelle Burch, Ashley Shankle (Sean), Aaron Tyson (Margot), Danielle Lauxen (Jake), Whitney Burch, Cortnee Harris, Teija Brannan (Seth) and Tiana Atkinson; and his great grandchildren, Yasmine, Mikaela Woodard, Gabriel Bienhoff, JJ Duckett, Jacob, Jasper, Jameson, Jasmine Lauxen, Cora and Olivia Tyson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McHenry Funeral Home (206 NW 5th St, Corvallis, OR 97330).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lobster Valley Church of Christ or Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House through McHenry Funeral Home.
