He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marquis and Roberta Marquis (Fry); his wife Jean Tomlin; his siblings, Robert and Joanne; and his grandson David.

He is survived by: his sons, Jim Marquis (Barb) and David Marquis (Karen) of Albany; his stepsons, Larry Tomlin (Marge) and Steven Tomlin of Albany; and his sister Rosemary Long. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
