He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James G Jordan and Olivia Peterson Jordan; his wife Carol Ann Hopeman; his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law Achim; his grandchildren, Sophia Isabel, Oliver James Dettweiler, Nathan Jordan Young and Ilsa Jordan Young; his daughter Marilyn Louise Jordan; his grandfather Jim; his son David Lawrence Jordan; his sisters, Mary Edna Jordan of New Orleans and Martha Boright (Art) of Albany; his sister-in-law Jean Hopeman (Dave Chambers) of Sonoma; his nieces, Sarah Finamore, Heather Boright (Ken Baldwin), Laura Hopeman and Jennifer Ullman (Tito Granda); his nephew Andy Boright; his brother-in-law Richard M. Hopeman (Mary); and his nephew Mark F. Hopeman. He was also cherished by husband and wife, they were dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David L. Jordan Scholarship Fund at Linn Benton Community College or the United Presbyterian Church.
