He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Odegard and Florence Wilkowski Odegard; his siblings, Edward Odegard, Louise Murphy and Bonnie Nelson; and his son-in-law Tony Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; and his children, Connie Johnson, Abbey Walker, Kurt Odegard and Kyle Odegard (Trisha Farver). He is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great grandson.
He played and coached slow pitch softball into his mid-70s, until Parkinson's disease slowed him down.
