He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Spitz and Josephine Spitz; and his siblings, Laverne (Edward Jr.) of Geraldine, E. H, Dorine and John.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Griswold; his sister Adella Adams; his children, Sherry Eason, Sheryl Jones and Don Spitz Jr. (MaryAnn); his grandchildren, Dale Jr., Josephine, Katey, Billy, Jenefer, Aaron, Aleysa, Mariana and Faith; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Dale, Michael, Leia and Everley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, one of Don and Shirley's favorite charities.
