With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Hester Gibson of Yukon, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sofia Shaw and William Shaw. She is survived by: her sister Louise; her husband A. L. Evans; her children, Michael Evans (Linda) and Anne Riley; her stepchildren, Janelle McDaniel, Pamela Ray, Arthur Louis Evans and John C. Gibson; her grandchildren, Kimberly Campbell, Diane Henry, Shannon Vinci, Holly Ray, Jessica Smith, Dylan Evans and Mathew Riley (Debbie); her great grandchildren, Elena Riley, Alisha Turner, Caitlin Henry, Tessa Henry, Sopha Vinci, Fergus Campbell, Jared Schuster, Parker Wehr, Griffin Wehr, Kaden Wilson and Brody Lunsford; her great great grandchild Madison Newton; and also, Billy and Orville.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home (1500 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, OK 73099). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at the Bethany Cemetery.
