He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Hurst and Merlyn Hester Hurst; and his sisters, Cleta San Antonio and Melba Friedenberger Hogue. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann; his sister Sandra Funk; his children, Joni (Mike Dillard), Trenton Hurst (Rhonda) and Bryan Hurst; his grandchildren, Garrett, Taylor, Tara, Tony, Rylen and Kailee; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Hayden, Nash, Norah, Noah, Olivia, Eden, Nova and Brynlee; his sister-in-law Linda (Wayne Cotton); and his son David Maddox.
