She was predeceased by: her parents, George Chesser and Kathryn Chesser; and her brother Kenneth Chesser. She is survived by: her son David Maddox Jr.; her grandchildren, Kasey Gray, Shelbi Avery, Amanda Zundell and Joshua Maddox; and her great grandchild Jerry "Trey" Avery.
