He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Penland and Glen Penland; and his brother Gary Penland. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Penland (Peggy); his children, Christy Self (Ricky) and Mathew Penland (Shaina); his sister Teresa Hartline (Steve); and his grandchildren, Justin, Jaina, Megan, Lexi, Grace and Lily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
