She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Belle Houx and Earl Ollie Houx; her grandparents, Minnie Houx, Charles Houx and Faithe; and her siblings, Melvin Houx and Joyce Spence.
She is survived by: her husband Bert; her children, Marilyn Barta (Greg) and Charles Brown (Marilyn); her grandchildren, Clinton Brown, Dillon Brown, Whitley Erickson (Brad), Allison Bailey (Kevin) and Nathan Barta (Rebecca); and her sister Earlene Houx of Plainview, Texas.. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
