He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Zola Bedell; his sons, Chris and Shawn Raney; his wife Janice Wilkins Bedell; his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Hamner; his children, Jenah Marie Hamner Hamilton (Dan), Micah Mary Hamner Pillmore (Brian), Garth Ryan Hamner (Allison) and Allison Blair Bedell Rush (Kyle); his grandchildren, Kenadi, Jakobi, Kaden, Gavin, Piper, Elijah, Malachi, Esli, Nathanael, Hananiah and Finnick; his siblings, John Bedell (Belinda) and Tonya Hux (Mark); his father John Edward Bedell Sr.; and also Zola Pearl Joiner Bedell. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Yukon High School Pole Vault program, a cause close to Bubba's heart and reflective of his lifelong commitment to youth and sports. Donations can be made out to: Yukon Track and Field, Memo: Pole Vault.
