He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Benjamin and Lily Mae Lane (Hawkins); his son Jerry Alan Lane; and his siblings, Harvey, Huey and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Butler; his daughter Tina Dawson; his grandchildren, Tiffany Schumacher, Randa Mixon and Chelsea Mixon; his daughter Michelle Fuentes (Mark); his grandchildren, Ryenn and Reese Fuentes; his daughter-in-law Cindy Lane Phillips; his grandchildren, Jordyn Price (Tyler) and DaNaiza Lane; his sisters, Alice, Betty and Connie; and his great grandchildren, Tristan Schumacher, Aniyah Black, Kaselynn Miller, Kynzlee Miller, Everlee Rosario, Anderson "Andy" Price and Julia Price.

“I haven't seen Andy in well over a decade. He is such a gentle giant and also has an awesome sense of humor. I refuse to speak of him it the past tense because his life truly has just begun. He knows the Lord and is with him now just waiting on everyone else to show up. I'm sure that Jerry and him are having a time of it. Jerry's laugh is awesome.
