He is survived by: his daughter Carylon Medaris; his son-in-law John Medaris; and his grandchildren, Miles Medaris, Olivia Brunner and Samantha Smith.

Nothing exemplified this more than his sole care for her as she battled Alzheimer's for the better part of 10 years.
