We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2020, at the age of 78, Bettye Jo Rushing (Wynnewood, Oklahoma) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Tommie L. Johnson and Gladys P. Johnson; her siblings, Tommie L. Johnson, Koehlar Johnson and Meredith Sue Curry (Johnson); her grandchildren, Kevin Johnson Jr. and Cameo Pearl Brown; her sister-in-law Thelma Johnson; her children, Kevin Joe Johnson of Wynnewood, OK, Chantay L. Carter Allen (H. DeWayne Allen) of Wynnewood, OK and Tristen C. Rushing of Ardmore, OK; her grandchildren, Elaxis, Alika, LaBryant, Stephen, Challen, Devin, Justyce, Pete and Desmond; her great grandchildren, Lexy, Kali, Sophia, Carter, Kamdyn, Micah and Cason; her brothers, Clinton Johnson (Vernetta) of Oklahoma City and Dwyar Johnson (Teresa) of Wynnewood, OK; her siblings-in-law, Shirlee Johnson of Oklahoma City and Bob Curry of Wynnewood, OK; and her friend Maria Jones of Oklahoma City. She was also cherished by many other relatives and friends.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, individual visitation will be at Wooster Funeral Home (1601 South Chickasaw, Pauls Valley, OK 73075), beginning at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory of Bettye Rushing to Grace Living Center Activities Fund (4554 W Main Street, Norman, OK 73072).
