She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandchildren, Dayton, Dustin, Cassidy, Joshua, Blayne and Bria; her great grandchild Jaylee; and her sister Geraldine Waldon of California.

The family requests that women attending the service wear their favorite hat, also that memorials be made in Gertrude's memory to Crossway Baptist Church Youth in lieu of flowers.
