He was predeceased by: his mother Hope Gideon (Jimerson); his grandparents, Denis, Velma Jimerson, Andy and Margie Gideon; his mother-in-law Sharon Stapp; and his sister-in-law Pam Stapp Porter.
He is survived by: his father Gary Gideon; his children, Gary, Hope Gideon, Douglas Lee Gideon (Berjhawn) and Kyle Derek Gideon of Wyandotte; his siblings, Kathy Williams (Tommy) of Miami, Jimmy Gideon (Shiela) of Miami and Harvey Jimerson (Pam) of Quapaw; his father-in-law Bobby Joe Stapp Sr. of Wyandotte; and his brothers-in-law, Ryan Stapp (Alisha) of Webb City, Bobby Joe Stapp Jr. of Joplin and Rick Porter of Joplin. He is also survived by Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Nieces and Nephews.
