He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nelson and Betty Hobbie (Hammerlee); his son Frank Nelson; his grandchildren, Faith Dean Hobbie and Kelly Marie Hobbie; his former wife Marie Hobbie; and his brother Dave Hobbie.
He is survived by: his spouse Shelly Hobbie; his children, Sally Hobbie (Victor) of Sharon, Sherri Dawn Hobbie-Carson (Jay) of Woodward, Michele Hasting (Chris) of Vermont, Halley Johnson (Jeremy Goodner) of Woodward and Joey Johnson (Lona) of Woodward; his siblings, Skip Hobbie (Kathy) of New York and Patty Holmes (Noel) of New York; his sister-in-law Pat Hobbie of New York; and his grandchildren, Timber, Judd, Hunter, Victor, Caleb, Callum, Lucian, Elayma, Lilly, Ty, Olivia, Greg, Dallas Carson, Jack, Sherri, Bruce Redden, April Dawn Borth, Misty Redden and Shelby Spillman. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
