He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Schmitz and Josephine Schmitz (Lawson). He is survived by: his wife Maxine A. Halko; his children, Steve Schmitz (Carol) of Laverne, Kenny Schmitz (Mona) of Woodward, Jim Schmitz of Woodward and Amy Goodman (Lance) of Edmond; his grandchildren, Ashley Schmitz, Austin Schmitz, Dalton Schmitz, Tanner Schmitz, Zach Schmitz, Conner Schmitz, Bryson Goodman, Parker Schmitz and Hayden Goodman; his great grandchild Mason Schmitz; and his sister Mary Brown (Russ) of Washington. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Peters Catholic Church Youth with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
