Rita Jo Maddux Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Jo Maddux (Woodward, Oklahoma), born in Grove, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Lile and William Hall; her grandmother Lucy Lile; her husband Elmer Leroy Maddux; and her daughter Nancy Pat Maddux.
She is survived by: her children, Ronni Bambi Poe of Woodward and Dallett Lane Maddux; her granddaughters, Kara Ferguson Hensley-Owens (Randy Owens) and Mica Foster Wehlmann (Dustin Wehlmann); her great grandchildren, Kyler (Micah Hensley), Kaden (Katherine Hensley) and Rebecca Foster; her great great grandchild Holden Hensley; her brothers, Travis Hepner and Marvin Hepner; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Maddux (Mary Jane) of La Junta, Colorado, Janice Louthan of Woodward, Glenda Allbritton and Collinsville. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (1621 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Mooreland (302 S Elm St, Mooreland, OK 73852).
Memorials may be made to the Mooreland Methodist Choir with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
