He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Kenneth and Audra Short (Waggoner); his parents-in-law, Bus and Leora Hale; his grandson Shane Sellers; his sister Donna Short Jackson; and his brother-in-law Karey Don Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Short; his children, Christopher Shane Short, Deborah Short Talbert (Travis) and Rudena Short Cole (DC); his grandchildren, Chris Kingrea (Charlene), Marissa Sellers Anderson (Chad) and Cody Harvey; his great grandchildren, Lindsey, Lauren, Kylie, Madden, Collier, Cameron, Ashlyn and Allyson; his sister-in-law Betty Hale; his nieces, Shoyleen Hamilton and Kelley Conner; and his nephew Ken Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward or Buffalo Senior Center with the funeral home accepting donations on behalf of the family.
