With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Colyn McLaren of Woodward, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Colyn left this world on March 15, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Carlysle and Florence Bell McLaren (Stoner); his sisters, Carolyn Doyle, Erma McLaren and Paula Jackson; and his stepsons, Dyerl Coram and Gary Hollen.
He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Sue Johnson; his stepson Harvey Fisher; his nieces and nephews, Catherine, Russell and Joe Eike; his wife Erma Hollen; his daughters, RaNita (Kenneth King) of Woodward and Kim (Terry Acosta) of Woodward; and his stepdaughter Murla Gann of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by numerous grandkids, great grandkids and his nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church (1620 Lincoln Ave, Woodward, OK 73801).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward Senior Citizens Center with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
