He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Gilliam and Grace Gilliam; his siblings, Lucille Duncan, Nathelda Davis and Kenneth Gilliam; his parents-in-law, Leo Gartrell and Luella Gartrell; his siblings-in-law, Louise Gilliam, Bill Duncan, George Davis and Fred Pinkston; and his son-in-law Michael Rear.
He is survived by: his wife Merla Gilliam; his sister Opal Pinkston of Oklahoma City; his children, Holly Brown of Midwest City, Susan Rear of Moore, Brett Gilliam (Michelle) of Edmond and Kristi Gilliam of Poth, Texas; his grandchildren, Trish Scott (Jeff), Diantha McDonald, Brooke McDonald, Jill Kirk (Monty), Gracelyn Kelley (Mitch), Brycen Harmon (Tabitha), Stanton Harmon, Rayden Morrison, Drew Gilliam and Luke Gilliam; and his siblings-in-law, Larry, Gary Gartrell, Elaine and Irene Gartrell. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (1621 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crown Heights Baptist Church (2803 Maple Ave, Woodward, OK 73801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crown Heights Baptist Church or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
