He is survived by: his children, Robert F Van Dyke III (Dilynn), Scott J Van Dyke, Charles J Van Dyke, Colton J Van Dyke and Brittany A Heaton; and his sisters, Violet E Grimes (Mike), Theresa M Demmick (Mike) and Bridgette D Haney (Larry). He is also survived by six grandsons and one granddaughter.
