She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Nicklin and Berniece Nicklin; her husband Eddie E. Smith; and her siblings, Anna Marie Black, John Nicklin and Jim Nicklin.

She is survived by: her daughter April Robinson Hope Smith (Lance Oditt James); her siblings, Terry White, Joe Nicklin, Bill Nicklin and Rick Nicklin; her sister-in-law Mary Nicklin; and her grandchildren, Brandon Geer, Joshua Geer, Sheridan Robinson and Poppi A. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
