He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Lewis; his daughter Lorinda Newell Badillo of Arkansas Two; his stepdaughters, Teresa Brown of Rock Island and Oklahoma Toni Adams of Cameron; his son Johhny Newell, Jr. of Fort Smith; his stepsons, Chuck Lewis of Wister and Oklahoma Paul Lewis of Heavener; his siblings, Sue Sutherland of Durant, Oklahoma Dorothy of Durant and James Newell of Hartshorne; his grandchildren, Brandy, Madison and Erica Cooper (Phil); his great grandchildren, Bryley, Collin, Dawson Copper and Parker Cooper Numerous; and his son John.
