He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Herman and Elida Gladys Marutzky (Holmes); his siblings, Joe, Mary and Geralda; and his stepmother Pauline Brian Marutzky.
He is survived by: his sister Wilma Kaye Whitson; and his grandchildren, Bryan Acox, Brandi Acox, Taralee Marutzky, Jessica Milner Bernardin, Christina Milner Park, Danielle Marutzky, Paige Rutledge Ledbetter, Ashley Rutledge and Lacy Rutledge.
