He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Richardson and Flo Richardson (Pierce); his brother Jimmy Richardson; and his stepchildren, James Taylor and Pam Kay.
He is survived by: his wife Dee Richardson; his son Johnny Richardson (Dana) of Wilson; his grandchildren, Delaney Richardson of Wilson, Sandra McSwain and Chad Kay of Shelby, NC; his siblings, Jerry Richardson of Wilson, Marjorie Remington of Ardmore, Marilyn Gaines of Lone Grove and Marlene Knight (Richard) of Yukon; and his grandchildren, Tre Richardson and Landon Richardson. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
