He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Lee Kinney and Alma Kinney (Shuey); his sister Shirley Tolsom; his children, Renata Pinkston and Michael Kinney; his parents-in-law, Oscar Lee Gray and Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie" Gray (Jones); and his siblings-in-law, Ima Jewel Simmons, Bonnie Hodges, O. L. Gray and Jimmy Lee Gray.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Gray; his granddaughters, Karli Bland (Stone) and Brooke Leigh Fox; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Fox and Mason Fox; his siblings-in-law, Carolyn McKinnon, Danny Gray (Sharon), Richard Gray (Darlene) and Roger Gray (Deloris); and his close friend Robert Plott. He is also survived by 5 cousins; 2 grand nieces; 1 grand nephew, numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel (1302 7th St, Wilson, OK 73463).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Ardmore for the activities department in Jim's memory by mailing a check to 1015 S Commerce St. Ardmore, OK 73401.
