He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Jo Johnson and Ethel Belle Johnson (Nazworthy); his siblings, Ronnie Johnson and Sharon Johnson; and his sons, Sammy Friend and Randy Boone Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Candas Johnson; his children, Billy D Johnson II (Kimberly Johnson) and Mechelle Turner; his grandchildren, Riley Johnson and Dylan Turner; his stepgrandsons, Levi, Trevor, Tyler and Logan Bemrose; his brother Kenny Johnson (Sandy Carver); and his brothers-in-law, John Friend (Jeannie) and Fred Friend (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel. A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
